JENN BROPHY

STANFORD UNIVERSITY, USA

Jenn Brophy is an Assistant Professor and HHMI Freeman Hrabowski Scholar in the Department of Bioengineering at Stanford University. Jenn completed her graduate training at MIT in biological engineering and her postdoctoral studies in plant biology at Stanford where she worked on engineer spatial patterns of gene expression across plant tissues using synthetic genetic circuits. Jenn started her lab in September of 2021, where she is interested in applying synthetic biology to address climate change issues and enhance sustainability. Work in the Brophy lab has been recognized by a U.S. DOE Early Career Award, U.S. National Science Foundation CAREER Award, a Burroughs Wellcome Fund Career Award at the Scientific Interface, and a Chan Zuckerberg Biohub - San Francisco Investigatorship.
